A small school that offers your child outstanding learning opportunities

Meet the Staff

Come and meet the staff at our school!

Senior Leadership Team

Headteacher - Miss J Stratton

I love coming to Hever School each day and working in this beautiful environment with such fabulous children and staff! Outside of my working life, I enjoy playing a range of sports, going to the theatre, watching films and dancing. I also adore photography and design. My partner and I both love travelling and have each had the opportunity to work all over the world at various times in our lives.

Teachers

Acorn Class - Miss J Colvin

I first joined Hever School as a pupil and now, a few years on, I am lucky enough to be teaching Acorn Class. This is an exciting new challenge for me as I taught year 1 and 2 last year and am thoroughly looking forward to being part of the lovely Hever team again! Outside of teaching I spend the majority of my time in my wellies caring for and riding my two gorgeous horses.

Magnolia Class - Miss R Bond

Having completed a Primary Education degree at Canterbury Christ Church in 2014, I was fortunate to undertake my NQT year here at Hever School. I am now in my forth year of teaching, having done three years in reception I have followed my wonderful class up to year 1. The children are wonderfully enthusiastic and a real pleasure to work with. I live locally in Hever with my family. In spare time I enjoy riding my horses, spending time with friends and travelling.

Elderberry Class - Mrs H Cooke SENDCo & Senior Teacher

I joined Hever Primary School in January 2016 and I feel that I have settled into the community of the school quickly and easily, thanks to the staff, parents and wonderful children. I am now Magnolia class teacher and the SENDCo which gives me the opportunity to work closely with many of the families of the school. I live locally in Edenbridge with my husband and two children . I enjoy spending time with my family and, when I have a spare minute, I like to attend the local 'Bunny Hop' classes.

Elm Class - Mrs Draper - Senior Teacher - Teaching & Learning & Curriculum

I have been teaching for 9 years, having graduated from the University of Greenwich. Prior to that I studied Science and Early Childhood Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University. I live in Surrey with my husband and daughter and together we love exploring historical places of interest and going to the theatre. I love working with children and am a Cub Leader for Oxted Scout Group. I joined the school in September 2016 and I am really enjoying being part of the Hever School Community.

Oak Class - Mrs C Beverley

I have the privilege of being both a teacher and parent at Hever School, with three children currently here and loving their time in Oak and Elm classes. I began my teaching career in rural Bedfordshire before moving overseas to teach in Germany and then Singapore. As a family, we are happy to be back in the UK spending time with loved ones and even more proud to be part of such a caring, ambitious and friendly community with the most inspirational students!

Oak Class - Mrs Barber

"I am looking forward to teaching your children and working hand in hand with all parents and carers. In my 30 years of teaching I have been Head of Maths, a Headteacher in East Sussex for several years and have been involved in Educational Research." There is much to celebrate at Hever. The school is a welcoming, happy place where people are helpful, considerate and respectful of each other.
