Come and meet the staff at our school!
Senior Leadership Team
Headteacher - Miss J Stratton (On Maternity Leave 2016-17)
I love coming to Hever School each day and working in this beautiful environment with such fabulous children and staff! Outside of my working life, I enjoy playing a range of sports, going to the theatre, watching films and dancing. I also adore photography and design. My partner and I both love travelling and have each had the opportunity to work all over the world at various times in our lives. We are really looking forward to becoming parents for the first time this summer!
Executive Headteacher - Ms W Fox
I have been in the teaching profession for 26 years and a Headteacher for 12. I have had experience in both very large town schools and small rural schools like Hever School. I really enjoy my job. I love the variety it brings, the sense of doing something worthwhile every day and above all engaging with the children. My garden at home thrives on neglect so instead I think of the children as my flowers and it is a privilege and delight to watch them grow. On my days off, I enjoy going to the theatre, reading, cycling and running. I have just begun a dress making course – so now have empathy for the children when they attempt a new skill!
Acorn Class - Miss R Bond
Having completed a Primary Education degree at Canterbury Christ Church in 2014, I was fortunate to undertake my NQT year here at Hever School. I am now in my second year of teaching Reception children, which I love, and the children are wonderfully enthusiastic and a real pleasure to work with. I live locally in Hever with my family. In spare time I enjoy riding my horses and joining some of the other staff at 'Bunny Hop'.
Magnolia Class - Mrs H Cooke (Acting Assistant Head 2016-17)
I joined Hever Primary School in January 2016 and I feel that I have settled into the community of the school quickly and easily, thanks to the staff, parents and wonderful children. I am now Magnolia class teacher and the SENDCo which gives me the opportunity to work closely with many of the families of the school. I live locally in Edenbridge with my husband and two children . I enjoy spending time with my family and, when I have a spare minute, I like to attend the local 'Bunny Hop' classes.
Elm Class - Mrs Draper
I have been teaching for 9 years, having graduated from the University of Greenwich. Prior to that I studied Science and Early Childhood Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University. I live in Surrey with my husband and daughter and together we love exploring historical places of interest and going to the theatre. I love working with children and am a Cub Leader for Oxted Scout Group. I joined the school in September 2016 and I am really enjoying being part of the Hever School Community.
Oak Class (Year Five)- Mrs C Beverley
I have the privilege of being both a teacher and parent at Hever School, with three children currently here and loving their time in Oak, Elm and Magnolia classes, respectively. I began my teaching career in rural Bedfordshire before moving overseas to teach in Germany and then Singapore. As a family, we are happy to be back in the UK spending time with loved ones and even more proud to be part of such a caring, ambitious and friendly community with the most inspirational students!
