Meet the Governors

Welcome to our Governors’ Section

Building the confidence and resilience to flourish

Education is the greatest opportunity young people have to achieve lifelong success and, together with our team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff, we are committed to ensuring that your children get the best possible education at Hever Primary School and succeed in achieving to the very best of their abilities and beyond.

The role of a school governor is far reaching with a wide range of possibilities. Governors help to form the school’s strategic aims, policies and targets and support the school’s drive for improvement. They act as ‘critical friends’ to the school through monitoring and evaluating progress and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.

Full Governing Body meetings are held each term and Governors usually serve a term of four years on the Governing Body.

Below you will find details of the Governing Body, our vision and values for the school, how the Governing Body is structured, our roles and responsibilities together with information regarding our regular meetings.

The governors are currently collecting data on the diversity of the board, including data on age, gender and ethnicity. They will use that data to inform their recruitment and training needs and ensure there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making.

If you would like to contact the Governing Body, please address your letter to the Chair of Governors, c/o Hever Primary School, Hever, Kent, TN8 7NH
