Welcome to Hever! We are a small primary school set in a beautiful village, steeped in history and famous for its delightful castle and grounds, having been the home to the Bullen family during the time of Henry VIII.
At the heart of the village is the well-structured, friendly and happy school which children, staff and governors feel very proud to belong to. High expectations and pastoral care, together with a strong Christian ethos ensures that every child flourishes and is challenged to reach their full potential.
The education of children at Hever can be traced back to the early 1700s when Thomas Lancaster, the Rector of Hever, left a legacy of £20 to be spent on books and education for the local children. The present school was built in 1911 by William Waldorf Astor who owned Hever castle at that time. The original school bell, still in use, forms the school logo.
Our vision at Hever is to provide an inspirational learning environment for the 21st century, which both enables and encourages all children to flourish and maximise their potential, talents and interests in a setting based on core Christian values.
