Young Writer’s Workshop: The English Department of Sevenoaks
School invited four of our Oak Class students to their Young Writer’s Workshop. Ava,
Bethany, Brayden and Will represented our school magnificently in our first invitation to
the annual writer’s event held last Saturday. They enjoyed a tour of the historic secondary
school and went on to showcase their considerable writing talent by completing two
creative writing tasks, with some very positive feedback from Year 8-10 Sevenoaks
students who were impressed with our young students’ powerful and inventive use of
language. We are grateful and excited to be included in this annual event, which will
enable more budding Hever School writers to benefit from the opportunity to develop their skills in the future. Congratulations to the students involved this year and a big thank you to parents who gave up their Saturday morning to provide the taxi service!
