Mrs Hayes' Handwriting Challenge
Thank you to parents and your wonderful children for taking part in our handwriting challenge. We had some amazing entries which made the judging very challenging.
A very special comment must go to Year 1 who submitted the most amount of entrants; all of which were of a wonderful standard. It was clear that all the children tried really hard to follow the instructions and produce a beautiful cursive script.
And so to the results:
Reception: William
Year 1:
Joint 1st place: Gabriel and Evita
2nd Place: Eden
3rd Place: Tom
Special Commendations: Ella, Austin, Harrison, Esme.
Year 2:
1st Place: Sandy
2nd Place: Chloe
Special Commendation Gracie and Jake
Year 3:
Jacob
Year 4:
1st Place: Amelia and Ruby
2nd Place: Tommy
3rd Place: Freddie and Liam
Special Commendations: Martha and Lucy
Year 5:

3rd Place: Harry
Once again thank you all very much for taking part and I look forward to seeing examples of this excellent writing in all the children’s work. Remember, always start on the line and make sure there are no floating letters (helicopters) or submarines (letters under the line) in your writing. Enjoy writing those Christmas cards!
