Magnolia Class - Getting Creative!
Over the last few weeks, we have been writing a class story about a little boy called CJ who takes a bus journey to visit a soup kitchen. He meets all sorts of people on his way. Last week we learnt about soup kitchens and what they do, the children were very moved by this and have incorporated it into their play all week. This week we wrote our own stories. The children worked very hard and produced some beautiful writing.
In PE, we have been dancing to the music of Peter and the Wolf. This week we rounded this off by dancing all the animals we have choreographed dances for in sequence. The children made very convincing birds, ducks, cats and Peters. They have demonstrated real musicality in their dances.
The children have also worked very hard with Miss Robertson to turn our role play area into a Christmas sitting room. We are all starting to feel very Christmassy, if you want some Christmas cheer Magnolia is definitely the place to be!!
