We had a visit from international footballer Fil Kamps. Fil is a Great Britain and England international player. Fil first started playing football at the age of four, dreaming of one day representing his country. He played for several different club teams in his youth before going on to represent his county and signing for Charlton Athletic in 2012 and going on to win the English Deaf Football League and the British Deaf Plate before Fil transferred to Fulham in 2013. He joined us today to tell us a little about his journey and to work with all year groups and leading PE activities.
Fil was brilliant with all the children and encouraged everyone to follow their dreams and work hard to be the best they can. Fil is proof that you can achieve your goals, regardless of disability and that everyone has their own talents. Thank you Fil for inspiring our children and being a wonderful role model for them. The children are feeling motivated by Fil's quote:
DREAM BIG, WORK HARD AND STAY HUMBLE
