Chestnut - Spheros, parachutes music and exercise!
Chestnut have had a wonderful week with many exciting things happening. On Tuesday they were coding Spheros to weave them through cones. They had to plan angles, direction, speed and time to ensure their Sphero made it through accurately. On Thursday they learnt about air resistance and made parachutes to test their predictions about how quickly different sizes of parachute would fall. There were a whole range of designs and some more successful than others! On Friday afternoon things took a more relaxing turn and Chestnut were listening to jazz and learning to play along to The Three Note Bossa by Ian Gray. After a week of hard work, Chestnut were rewarded with some golden time. Inspired by Jo Wicks, some of the children spent almost the whole time doing different exercises (squats, burpees, high knees...). I think they are probably worn out and ready for a rest over the weekend!
