If in the event you are already self-isolating please email the Office to request your child’s logins. All children in school will be sent home with their logins today.

Welcome to Elderberry Class!
In Elderberry Class the children are taught by me, Mrs Draper, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Mrs Gray teaching the children on a Thursday. Miss Berry is our class teaching assistant four mornings a week. Elderberry Class are also supported by volunteer readers Mrs Staples, Mrs Davis and Mrs Bellamy. We also welcome a number of parents to support our learning. Each morning I will be on the gate if you have any concerns or questions. Now the children are in Year Two there is an expectation that they start to become more independent and take responsibility for their belongings and learning.
Each day the children will require the following things:
Reading Book and Reading Record – each day we will check and change the books the children are reading at home from the banded colour scheme. Please make sure you have initialled or commented to show the book has been completed.
Coat – particularly when it is cold and wet.
Water Bottle – please only send the children in with water in their bottles for in the
Snack – children are able to have a fruit snack at break time.
PE will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Chris will be teaching the children Judo on a Tuesday afternoon, with Richard delivering the outside PE curriculum on a Thursday.
On a Tuesday and Thursday the children may come to school in their PE kit, please make sure they have a spare set in school, in the event that they get wet or muddy, particularly in the winter months!
If your child is not able to take part in PE due to injury, please ensure you send a note stating this to myself.

The children will have a Maths and English task linked to the learning each week. In addition, there is a handwriting or spelling task to support children’s knowledge. The tasks are set specifically to the learning need of your child.
