Hever Church of England Aided Primary School

A small school that offers your child outstanding learning opportunities

Welcome

Dear Parents and Visitors,

We hope that you will find our website informative and helpful. We have tried to provide all the information that we think will be useful to you as your child starts at Hever CEP School, where our motto is ‘Happy and Proud to Succeed.’

For many, ours is the first school that the children will encounter and so, from the moment that they step through our doors, they will be welcomed into a unique learning setting that will offer stimulating learning opportunities. Our children come here full of excitement and enthusiasm and leave us fully equipped to deal with the new challenges ahead.

Hever CEP School offers a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rich opportunities for high quality learning and personal development in all areas, including academic, aesthetic, spiritual, social, moral and physical. The dedicated and enthusiastic Governors and staff constantly strive to maintain and improve upon the successes of the school and to build for the future an establishment that meets the needs of our children. We set high standards and our expectation is that the children will attain them. Our academic record is strong and we are able to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities within the school environment including dance, cookery, Judo and sewing, not to mention many different sports depending on the season. Many of our children become active participants in school sports activities and love to represent the school at every opportunity!

Our close proximity to the church of St Peter’s enables us to engage in regular worship in the church as well as enjoying worship in school. Parents are always welcome to join in with our special Praise and Eucharist assemblies held in the church and also with our prayer group held on the second Wednesday of each month at 9.00am. Our core Christian values of Love, Respect and Wisdom are reflected throughout the life of the school. We are extremely proud of our links with the local community and the beautiful location in which we are situated and try to make the most of all that our grounds have to offer.

We are fortunate to have a very active group of parents known as the ‘Friends of Hever School’ who organise many exciting fundraising events throughout the school year as well as arranging social occasions for new and existing parents and help them to get involved in the life of the school. They are always thrilled to have new members in the team!

Please ask at the School Office if you have any queries or if you require a paper copy of anything on the website, and the office staff will be pleased to help you.

Warmest regards,

Miss Joanna Stratton
