Hever Church of England Aided Primary School

A small school that offers your child outstanding learning opportunities

Admissions Policy including Appeals

Admission to Primary School including Appeals

We aim to make the transition to Primary school as smooth as possible for both parents and children. With this in mind, we would encourage all prospective parents to visit the school in advance . Please telephone the school office to make an appointment. Applications will need to  be made online directly to your local authority. As we are a Church of England Voluntary Aided school we also require an additional supplementary application form which can be obtained from the school office, or via the link below, and should be returned directly to Hever Primary School.

Once you have been offered a place at school we arrange three afternoon visits in the term before your child starts. During their first week at school children attend for mornings only and every parent will be offered an interview with the class teacher.

If your child is due to start primary, infant or junior school in 2017 you can appeal between 18 April and 17 May 2017 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 19 July 2017.  For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.  For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
